Who I Am

As a singer-songwriter and musician, I strive to create songs that encompass life's positives and life's negatives... In a world where perception begets reality and reality begets a plethora of perspectives - each with tendrils upon tendrils of nuances... In such a world, numerous stories are left yet untold- waiting - needing to be spoken. Tales that speak of joy, sadness, love, heartbreak, life, death, God, growth, pain, forgiveness, shame, etc...

And, in this disheveled world, where numbness silently creeps into our very souls and spirits, day after day and night after night, slowly poisoning our every passion and zest for life, and constantly dampening our emotional well-being... In this sometimes miserable world, music can reach beyond the lethargy and beyond the numbed emotions, to once again, guide us into an enlightened understanding and eventual healing of self – thus; the healing and transforming power of music…

Jayed (aka: Christine) began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of fourteen. Her musical influences at that time consisted of a diverse assortment of musicians including: Stryper, Ozzy, Dokken, Cyndi Lauper, Scorpions, Metallica, Hendrix, Holy Saint, Barren Cross, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more…

Even at a young age, Jayed sought to write songs about life in a way that others could relate. Using music as a medium to help listeners realize that they are not alone in life’s struggles, and that someone else in this world can feel and understand the same or similar pain. Ultimately, Jayed hoped that this journey would help others to accept their own lives, with its many struggles and, in effect, facilitate healing of the mind, spirit, and emotions – with God being the central focus.

Throughout the years, Jayed has had the privilege of performing at Churches, funerals, weddings, coffee houses and other small venues... And, after taking a long hiatus to raise her children, Jayed is now ready to return to the passion she loves - touching people’s hearts and lives through the art of music…
